THE
BEST OF SOUTHERN TANZANIA WING
SAFARIS
RUAHA NATIONAL PARK
6 DAYS & 5 NIGHTS – (KUDU SAFARI)
Wildlife viewing in Ruaha is spectacular, but very different
from the experience in northern Tanzania. You have to work a
little harder at it. Sometimes you can get really close to the
wildlife and other times it takes off in a decidedly anti-human
fashion. Still, in 4 days you can see everything you could have
wanted to: lions, leopards, sable antelope, tons of impala,
zebra, buffalo, giraffe and elephant, also eland, greater kudu,
hippo, warthog and plenty of birds including an osprey, ground
hornbills, and some amazing owls. You can see all of this in
many parks, but not without sharing the experience with other
vehicles. There's something magic about feeling like you have
the place to yourself, and something satisfying about working
a little harder to find the lions and leopards. It taps into
one's sense of adventure. But what is truly special about Ruaha
are the vistas - whether you're high on a hill surrounded by
ancient baobabs, or overlooking a palm studded sand river filled
with animals taking their morning drink, the scenery is inspiring.
