Walking safaris in Africa, especially
Tanzania is a fun - involves traveling with your camp equipment, your guide
and a cook in your vehicle with you. A small temporary camp for a night
under the stars in a remote part of the bush is set, the ideal and to a
day's walking safari - with comforts - washing water, hurricane lamps, drinking
water and delicious food cooked on the open fire. A walk through the Savannah-African
bush is a wonderful way to experience Tanzania intimately. Smells and sounds
become distinct, varied, smaller and bigger creatures gain significance.
Our land is truly shared between
humans and animals, and all our adventurous walk programs we organize are
accompanied by experienced guides and sometimes with Game Rangers.
At night, the sensation of sleeping in a light tent or just under a mosquito
net, as the stars or the moon shines down and the noises of the African
nights begin, is the highlight of any Tanzania safari holiday. Your camp
will move with you each day. Setting off in the cool early morning, starts
your walk, picnic and rest during the heat of the day, only to meet up with
your camp in the late evening. Equipment are packed up and transported to
the next location by different methods, pick up trucks, on donkeys or Porters,
while you walk for several days, traveling like nomads across the African
bush often miles from the tracks and roads.
On the last day of your hiking expedition
you will leave the area aware of the overwhelming beauty, because every
morning during your stay, whichever hiking route you choose, you will be
with our experienced trained Crews. Most of our visitors always leave the
area feeling that they have made new friends and are convinced that there
are many positive and interesting aspects to rural TANZANIA.
The area is a home to an astonishing
number of plants, a wide range of birds, reptiles and mammals. Some baobab
indigenous plants occur on the slopes of Ngorongoro Highland - nowhere else
on earth do they occur naturally regardless of the highland remains a remarkable
natural and recreational asset. You will find a wide range of grazers and
primates is seen on most drives and walks, among them giraffes, buffalo,
warthog, wildebeests, zebras, Velvet monkeys, and at times Leopards in early
mornings. Due to the absence of dangerous animals, guided foot
(walking) safaris of up to 7/10 days are possible, which provide a welcome
change to the confinement of a car.
